Pro Makeup and Beauty Expo-The wrap up

Aside from spending way too much money on new and exciting Makeup and beauty products (did I hear Tax deductible?) the Pro Makeup and Beauty expo was a fabulous collection of the who’s who’s and the what’s what’s on the happenings of the Makeup and Beauty industry in Australia. With exhibitors from all around Australia, beauty buffs had the opportunity to play with all sorts of goodies!

Saturday saw me working at Stand number 4 for one of my all time favourite makeup brands Erin Bigg Cosmetics.

Sunday I went in with my (almost) 2 year old daughter for a bit of mummy/ daughter time. In the morning we watched celebrity makeup artist Autumn Scruggs demonstrate on stage how to do her best Red Carpet Makeup. Then we were in time to be dazzled by the Makeup Maestro James Vincent as he showed us all of the latest must haves for your makeup kit.

From there we all stampeded from stand to stand grabbing our new must haves. Mia (Miss 20 months) & I ran into many Makeup artist friends as we all decided which stand to go to next (I hope we both enjoy our new products Karen!).

From the MaqPro Foundation palette from Makeup & Glow, to the Beautiful Whipped Foundation at Smitten Cosmetics I have added some beautiful new bases to my kit.
On the must have list was also a concealer pro palette from Crown Brush Australia as well as a matte bronzer from Erin Bigg Cosmetics.

Amongst the vast array of enticing nail stands I found O.P.I., LISH and Faby were set up, pulling me in with their colourful Polishes. Hhmmmmmm.

The famous INGLOT also had a beautiful stand set up and had a crowd surrounding it both days-luckily I went and had a play yesterday, miss 20 months, myself and our truck sized stroller would NEVER have made it through today! 10300665_264338143767168_1986118571030564591_n

Latona’s Makeup managed to grab me in today collecting a bevy of cream foundations and show specials! Corinne Rees was there demonstrating her amazing airbrushing skills and CoAir‘s capabilities for both beauty and fantasy makeup.

We were all also privy to view the latest technique in waxing-sugar waxing. The wax free, all natural way to hair removal that is making waves in the beauty industry. Extremely effective, residue and chemical free this is definitely a service that I am looking into offering within the next 6 months.

The show was a success. A stark raving lunatic mad success. Every exhibitor I spoke to, said they were happily exhausted and had been run off their feet-particularly on the Sunday. Many #promakeupandbeautyexpo pics have popped up on instagram with Beauty Therapists, Salon owners and Makeup Artists alike showing off their hauls -myself included:

Missed out this year? Well theres always next year! (and the Beauty & Hair Show and IMATS in Sydney later this year but shhhhhh! Don’t tell your Husbands just yet. Let them recover from this expo first).

Good night my lovelies, these two ladies need their beauty sleep!
